Penguins Preschool Class

Our Penguins class is designed to specifically encourage and foster development during that 3 to 4 stage of being between “little” and “big.” The days are filled with plenty of pre-literacy and math skills, along with plenty of hugs and direction. Social and self-help skills are fostered as children develop their sense of self and one another.

The Penguins' classroom offers organized small group and individual instruction, as well as discovery and learning through playing and doing. Manipulatives designed to enhance concepts and fine motor skills, block building, role playing, drawing, art, stories and calendar concepts are vibrant in the classroom. Children participate in hands-on play, stories, songs, finger-plays, art projects, large motor games, and other activities related to the weekly theme for their class. The teacher and assistant work one-on-one and with small groups of children on specific developmental skills.

In addition to the enriching daily activities, the children enjoy a Bible Story once a week (optional), Discovery Science and Music and Movement classes.
